Pets Keeping Fit with Pawlates

Earlier this year, we heard rumors of a new gym opening for pets only. A press release from a health club chain owned by Sir Richard Branson, president of Virgin Atlantic Airways, confirmed the rumor, or so we thought. According to the release, Branson was concerned about the increasing problem of pet obesity in the United Kingdom, and he wanted to give pet owners a place to help their pets get (or stay) fit. It turned out that the press release was merely an April Fool’s joke. However, we don’t think fitness programs for pets are such a bad idea.
