Respiration is such a reflex, we hardly ever even think about it. But when our pets start coughing and sneezing, or simply have trouble breathing, it's cause for concern. Many respiratory problems are physical, resulting from malformation of the airway passages. But others are acquired, and even dogs and cats can get the equivalent of our common cold.
