World's Oldest Dog Dies
The world’s oldest dog, a 21-year-old (about 100 in dog years!) wire-haired dachshund named Chanel, died on August 28. Pet parents Karl and Denice Shaughnessy of Long Island, New York, adopted her from a shelter when she was only six weeks old. Chanel had recently been honored at her Manhattan birthday party in May by the Guinness World Records.
