Untamed California

At the Wild Horse Sanctuary, a nonprofit establishment in Shingletown, California, more than 300 wild horses roam free on protected land. This year, lucky visitors might catch a glimpse of Phantom Stallion, his mare Shy, and their new foal. The white stallion and his band of horses roamed for years near the Nevada–California border. Recently, he and his family were brought to the sanctuary to protect them from dangers caused by an expanding human population. Consider a trip to the sanctuary.
