Tom Shadyac, who has brought us such heartwarming movies as Dr. Dolittle, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, and Bruce Almighty, is at it again. In Evan Almighty, Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) is a newly elected congressman who arrives in Washington, DC, to accept his “greater calling.” The problem is that his greater calling isn’t political; it comes directly from the Almighty himself (Morgan Freeman): Build a new ark as Noah did years before. But how does he do this, and where does he find the animals? This movie is a must-see for animal lovers.
