A dog is man’s best friend. We have heard the saying many times, but what does it really mean? Well, HBO Films and director George LaVoo have turned the concept on its furry head so we can see how a dog actually earns that title. In A Dog Year, a touchingly funny film due out this fall, Jeff Bridges plays Jon Katz (whose book of the same title inspired the movie). Nothing is going right for Jon, who is enduring one of those seemingly endless bouts of midlife crisis, so he gets a dog (a border collie named Devon). The only problem is, the dog might be more unhinged than his owner. Watch this very special film to find out who does what and how happiness comes to this craziest of couples.
