Named early this year as the world’s tallest dog ever by The Guinness Book of World Records, Giant George—a Great Dane—stands 43 inches above the ground. This height is calculated from the tip of his front paw to the top edge of his shoulder. For a point of reference, the average Shetland pony is several inches shorter than this gorgeous skyscraper of a dog. Living in Tucson, Ariz., Giant George weighs 245 pounds and measures 7 feet, 3 inches long from head to tail.
