New Leash on Life
There is a new, liberating, educational puppy-training movement growing throughout the United States. State-sanctioned programs like “A New Leash on Life” offer prison inmates the opportunity to train dogs. Once trained, the dogs are adopted into good homes. The program takes the idea of prisoners “serving time” and gives it a fresh, humanitarian spin. As it turns out, prisoners all across America are having a serious case of puppy love that appears very reciprocal indeed.
