Leona Helmsley, the recently deceased “queen of mean,” bit off her grandchildren’s hopes of wealth and easy living by giving the largest bone of her fortune to her white-as-snow Maltese, Trouble. Our spies tell us that the estate leaves $12 million for the continued care of Trouble. This certainly gives new meaning to the phrase “lucky dog.”
