Cat's Miraculous 700 Mile Journey

We’ve tracked down another incredible tale of a lost cat who was safely returned home to his owner thanks to a microchip. Gallagher the cat disappeared from his home in the south of England and turned up 350 miles away a month later. The animal rescue officers who found him wandering in the streets traced the cat back to his owner, Rachel Pedley, of Fareham, Hampshire. As the story goes, they think Gallagher hitched a ride in someone’s car. Greatly relieved and with the cat safe in her arms, Rachel explained that she had had Gallagher microchipped because he tended to wander off. Of course, we doubt that she expected him to wander quite so far!
