Cat Catches a New York Way of Traveling
Ever feel uncomfortable about having to lock up your pet and leave him in an airplane’s cargo section when you travel? Well, Betty and Bob Matas found themselves in just that undesirable situation. They were set to move from New York to Arizona with their cats, Pretty Face and Cleopatra, but knew they had to find a more cat-comfortable alternative. And did they ever: They hired an SUV taxi for $3,000 plus gas (and meals and lodging for the driver). The cost would have been closer to $5,000 if the meter were running, so it was a good deal for both the cats and their caring owners. Occasionally, things work out best for the best people.
