HERO OF THE YEAR CONTEST
Animal Planet is searching for the HERO OF THE YEAR. One individual who has made a significant difference in the lives of animals will be selected as the Animal Planet Hero of the Year and will receive a $10,000 grant for his or her favorite animal welfare organization and a weeklong trip for two to Hawaii.

There are people all across America who are making a difference in the lives of animals. Animal Planet wants to recognize these people through this contest and contribute to their worthy cause.
Our readers will be able to witness the 10 finalists’ fantastic stories of courage, bravery, and heroism at animalplanet.com. These finalists have been selected from a large group of hard-working, dedicated people who are committed to making this world a better and safer place for all animals.
HealthyPet whole-heartedly supports both these finalists’ efforts and Animal Planet for promoting a healthier, happier, and safer existence for all pets and animals.

Vote for your favorite finalist online at animalplanet.com starting September 25. Animal Planet will post the nominated essays and a photo of each finalist on animalplanet.com.

See who wins and is named Animal Planet Hero of the Year by watching Animal Heroes week October 30 to November 3 at 10:00 pm E/P.
The winner will be celebrated in a TV spot that showcases his or her exceptional work for animals, shot in the winner’s hometown.
